Chris and Amanda are the owners of the pet shop, we are a small family run store with old fashion service and old fashion prices, we stock good quality products, and will not force or try to upsell any product to you that we don’t think you will need, we have a very relaxed store that you are free to walk around uninterrupted or let us know and can offer sound advise and answer you questions when you have them. 

We stock a range of pet products for all animals, as well as some live animals also. We have nearly 100 Fish tanks instore so if you are looking for fish me may just have them! While we do not sell any Pet cats or dogs we do sell products for them, and if we dont have it instore we should able to get the item.

We stock live Fish, Rats, Mice, Guinea Pigs, Stick Insects, Scorpions, Litter bugs and more. We stock around the 3000 Products so bit hard to list them all, but for example we stock brands like roudybush, vetafarm, eheim, breeds choice, seachem, omega one and so many more.

Our shipping is simple. We use Fastway couriers for sunshine cost to gold coast their charges roughly are $10 for first 25 kg. We decided to charge a flat rate of $10 for all order regardless for 1 items or 20. Please understand however if you are out of this area we need to charge more for shipping, we wont charge more than what is reasonable shipping prices and will provide you with a quote before shipping, either email before ordering or place an order and we will contact you before charging or shipping. There are a couple of items that we can not ship multiple for $10 however like hysorb they weigh $15 kg and retails for $12 it would cost us more to ship than the total value of the sale, for items like this i am happy to send 1 for the flat rate but for multiple please we will need to work out a fair shipping rate for both of us.

Bob our dog, border collie, is often at the store to greet you also, and he does love visitors both 2 legged and 4 legged, and will usually great everyone and ask for a belly rub, unless its luch time and he likes a little sleep as he starts so early, it’s a dogs life. Willie, waldo (gahlah) and Major (majour mitchel) are our resident birds, and no they are not for sale and yes they are super cool. Chris and Amanda have had willie and major for 20 years or so and waldo since the start of 09. Willie loves a talk (and sometimes a nibble so don’t feed him finger foods) and waldo loves a scratch and can taslk as clear as a bell but doesn’t do it often. Major is a great looking bird very quite but when he does talk you will notice even if you are across the street, he has some lungs in him!

Chris and Amanda are both vet nurses with 20 years of vet nursing between them. Chris worked at Aspley vet clinic for many years and still has a good relationship with them, and has used this clinic for 27 years for all our family pets. Amanda has worked (and still does) at “the pet emergency room” at Stafford for some time and is an emergency and critical care nurse, so we think we can offer fairly sound advice for most problem and if we don’t know an answer am sure to be able to find one for you.

Aspley Pet Centre is a local family owned and run store. Chris’s family have lived in Aspley for 30 odd years, Chris was an Aspley East kid and still supports the school at any chance he gets. Aspley pet centre supports quite a few local sports teams, schools and clubs. The shop is open 6 days a week (closed Tuesdays) Public holidays open 11am to 3pm. Closed xmas day, good Friday, and new years day. We do not accept cheques but do accept visa, mastercard, amex, diners, eft, bartercard and good old cash.

If  you are after something and don’t live in the area we are able to ship out most items on courier or aust post, just drop us a line and have a chat, if it not on our website let me know, i should be able to get most items, but if available online here just order and we will ship straight out. Please be aware as our online stock and instore stock dont always agree we may have items out of stock at time of order we will however contact you if this is the case. We have a lot more items in store than what is on the online store, some of the specials or low stocked items are only available instore, as are fragile products like glass tanks, I dont wish to ship very fragile items so best just not to put them online :)
